br-sp-2 Region — Equinix SP3 (Tamboré/SP)¶

InteSys region br-sp-2 runs in the Equinix SP3 International Business Exchange (IBX) datacenter, in the Tamboré district of Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo metro area. It is an Uptime Institute Tier III (Design + Facility) and LEED Silver certified facility, part of Platform Equinix — the world's largest carrier-neutral interconnection platform.

Stability¶

Tier III (Concurrently Maintainable) certification, with Equinix's standard infrastructure engineering:

• Power: ~13.3 MW of customer-available capacity, with 2 utility feeders
• Density: up to 12 kVA per cabinet
• UPS: N+1 (block-redundant) configuration
• Generators: 8 diesel generators with N+1 + swing redundancy
• Cooling: N+1 redundancy (Equinix IBX design standard)
• Efficiency: PUE target below 1.35

Security¶

Equinix applies its standard 5-layer physical security across all IBX facilities, including SP3:

• Access: five consecutive checkpoints to the data floor
• Biometrics: two-factor authentication (hand-geometry biometrics + proximity card)
• Man-trap: single-person interlocking portals
• Surveillance: electronic CCTV throughout the facility
• Staff: 24/7 on-site security stations, 365 days a year
